At CO Church, we are grounded in the essential truths of the Christian faith, and those beliefs shape everything we do. We don’t create the mission, we carry the one Jesus already gave us.
Below is a clear outline of what we believe about God, Scripture, salvation, the Church, and the Christian life. These convictions guide how we live, how we lead, and how we pursue the Great Commission together.
Our goal is simple: to provide clarity, build unity, and help you confidently follow Jesus as we live, love, and lead like Him.

God is the Creator and Ruler of the entire universe. We firmly believe that God is eternal, existing beyond the confines of time, and that He has revealed Himself to humanity as one singular God who exists in three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This understanding of God’s triune nature is fundamental to our faith and shapes our relationship with Him.

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as integral parts of the one true God. He is actively present in the world to make men and women aware of their deep need for Jesus Christ and His redemptive work. Moreover, He resides within every Christian, starting from the very moment of their salvation experience. The Holy Spirit provides the believer with essential power for daily living, deeper understanding of spiritual truths, and wisdom in making choices that align with righteousness. Consequently, the Christian should earnestly seek to live under His direction and influence each and every day.
II Corinthians 3:17 • John 16:7-13; 14:16-17 • Acts 1:8 • I Corinthians 2:12; 3:16 • Ephesians 1:13; 5:18 • Galatians 5:25

Salvation is a precious gift that comes directly from God. Individuals cannot earn the forgiveness they seek through mere self-improvement or by performing good deeds alone. It is only through placing their trust in Jesus Christ that one can truly be saved from the dire consequences of sin. The journey to eternal life begins when a person wholeheartedly accepts Jesus into their life through a genuine act of faith.

Man is made in the spiritual image of God, designed to reflect His essence and character in meaningful ways. He stands as the supreme object of all of God’s intricate and purposeful creation. Although man possesses tremendous potential for good and positive influence in the world, he is unfortunately marred by an attitude and posture of disobedience toward God, which is commonly referred to as “sin.” This pervasive attitude ultimately creates a profound separation between man and God, affecting their relationship and communication.
Genesis 1:27 • Psalm 8:3-6 • Isaiah 53:6a; 59:1-2 • Romans 3:23

God grants mankind the beautiful gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, and because of this profound truth, each believer is assured and secure in that salvation for all of eternity. This precious salvation is upheld and maintained solely by the grace and immeasurable power of God, rather than the self-effort or personal works of the Christian. It is ultimately the grace and sustaining power of God that provides this profound sense of security and assurance for believers.

The Bible is indeed God’s Word to all men, offering profound insights and guidance. It was written by various human authors who, under the supernatural influence of the Holy Spirit, conveyed messages that resonate across time and culture. This sacred text serves as the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and principles of living. Given that it was inspired by God, it stands as truth without any mixture of error, providing a reliable foundation for faith and moral conduct.
II Timothy 3:16-17; 1:13 • 2 Peter 1:20-21 • Psalm 119:105, 160; 12:6 • Proverbs 30:5

We hold a biblical view on marriage, gender, sex and life. We believe marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to be a lifelong commitment that strengthens family and community. We view gender as a part of God’s unique, distinct, and divine design for each human being, male or female with differing yet complementary roles for men and women, each contributing uniquely to the well-being of the family. We believe that sex is seen as a gift from God, intended to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage, and we uphold biblical teachings that view sexual activity outside of marriage as contrary to God’s design. We also affirm that God is the author of life starting at conception to natural death.
